Meet Jessi Beckett
Her Story
When Jessi was pregnant with her first she realized that a lot of the breastfeeding support/information she was getting was negative and not very helpful. She stumbled upon the BREAST Facebook group and immediately knew it would be a great place of support on her journey. Once her first was born she had issues with supply and had to meet with lactation consultants. She also had to learn about and change her diet because of digestive issues with her son. Her son nursed half way through her second pregnancy, until he was 18 months old. Once her daughter was born she had the opposite issue of oversupply and also dealt with Dysphoric milk ejection (D-MER) where she had feelings of dread, dizziness, and sadness while nursing. Her daughter just finished her breastfeeding journey at 3 years and 4 months old. She feels passionate about breastfeeding education and support for families and our community, and loves working with BREAST!
